Training Update July 2018

I can't believe it's already the end of July! Summer and fall are my favorite times to run in Northern New England, so I'm trying to relish every day. Here is my training for the past 2 weeks:

7/9/18 - 7/15/18

  • Monday: Rest day
  • Tuesday: 7 miles easy (8:21 pace) + strength training
  • Wednesday: 8 miles easy (8:21 pace)
  • Thursday: 11 mile workout (2 mile warm-up, drills & strides, 5 x 1 mile [6:14/6:23/6:20/6:22/6:16] each with 3 minute recovery jog, 2 mile cool down) + strength training
  • Friday: 7 miles easy (8:13 pace)
  • Saturday: 8 miles easy (8:20 pace) + strength training
  • Sunday: 14 miles easy (8:23 pace)

7/16/18 - 7/22/18

  • Monday: Rest day
  • Tuesday: 8 miles easy (8:25 pace) + strength training
  • Wednesday: 8 mile workout (2 mile warm-up, drills & sides, 4 mile tempo @ 6:42 pace, 2 mile cool down)
  • Thursday: 7 miles easy (8:21 pace) + strength training
  • Friday: 8 miles easy (8:17 pace)
  • Saturday: 10 mile workout (3 mile warm-up, 6 x 3 minutes [5:47/5:48/5:45/5:48/5:58/5:57] each with 2 minute recovery jog, 3 mile cool down) + strength training
  • Sunday: 14 miles easy (8:19 pace)

 Found a dollar on the side of the road during my long run today. Not the highest paycheck (only 50 cents an hour), but I'll take it!
